How we met

We first met at the Bray Aquarium in Dublin through a dating app. Vernon was instantly attracted to Niki, and Niki thought Vernon was alright. Niki said she accidentally swiped right. Naturally, she panicked and thought, "Well, here goes nothing." We've been together since, but her opinion hasn't changed yet. Hoping for the best after the wedding.

This wedding tradition originated in Poland and spread all over the world. The steps to the dance as not always the same, but the general steps go as follows:

  1. The dance begins with the bride and groom being led around the room in a circle followed by other couples. This part signifies starting wedding life and growing up.
  2. The couple separate during the dance, signifying a quarrel in the relationship.
  3. The couple join together in rows with family and friends to signify the growing family.
  4. The dance then returns to single file line. This forms a snake to signify the twists and turns of life the couple with have in life.
  5. The couples then join together to form a bridge to which each person goes under to signify the strength of the new couples bond.
  6. The couple then joins back together to signify making-up.
  7. At the end of the dance, the newlyweds dance together while the wedding party and guests form a circle around them. This signifies the support of the family in marriage.

Sado dressing | Food counter & Dance Floor open 9 - 9:30pm

The Mangalorean Catholic bride's wedding sari (drape) is known as sado. It is usually a red coloured Benaresi sari, made of finely woven silk, decorated with elaborate gold embroidery called sàri (brocade). In olden days, the bride wore on her head a red cloth, three feet long and as many broad.

We'd love for you to show off your best moves on the dance floor, or if you're more into munching, the food counter will be open and ready to judge your snack choices!

Sado Couple Entry | Blessing | Family Photography 9:30 - 10pm

The bride makes a breathtaking entrance in her exquisite sari, while the couple is surrounded by heartfelt well-wishes and blessings from all sides. Be sure to stick around for a photo op to capture the magic!

Over to DJ - Baila dance | Dance Floor open 10 - 12am

With booze flowing like there's no tomorrow, everyone will be busy unleashing their "totally rehearsed" dance moves on the floor. Music will keep blasting until midnight, at which point we’ll all pretend to be adults again.
